The Joys of Call-in Radio
By Anton at July 2nd, 2009.The host of a local call-in radio show is posing, as I write, this question to listeners: “Are you sick of Michael Jackson death coverage?” As in, “the media is so lame, Michael Jackson’s death does not deserve so much attention. Let it go, this is ridiculous, I can’t believe people are still talking about this” and THEY’RE TAKING CALLS – LOTS OF CALLS. IRONY? STUPIDITY? LAZINESS? I have three words for it: HILARIOUS, HILARIOUS, HILARIOUS.
UPDATE: The host just said this: “Michael Jackson, he’s gone! He’s not coming back! Why am I still hearing about him?!” and then took a number of calls.
