Are Murray, Cantwell, Dicks, and Baird Out of Touch?
By Andrew at August 9th, 2009.KOMO 4 has more on Rick Larsen’s town hall event held yesterday in Mt. Vernon:
As has been happening in many places across the country, the event drew an overflow crowd of attendees. But an important point was made in the news segment, that shouldn’t be lost on us. ”It’s important to have these town halls,” said one attendee, even if no minds are changed.
Why? It’s democracy, stupid.
Now, try telling that to Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell, Norm Dicks or Brian Baird. By not holding town hall meetings, they give off the impression that they’re just a little too comfortable in their positions.
Furthermore, members of Congress look unresponsive when they ignore, and out-of-touch when they attack, constituents who ask them to hold such town hall meetings.

Murray, Cantwell, Dicks, and Baird are all out of touch with the common person and especially with Seniors.
I have sent numerous emails to Baird and each time I receive a canned “talking points” response telling me why the Health Care Bill is good for me. I am a Senior and feel we are getting the shaft in this Bill.
I plan to actively work to defeat him in 2010.
Yes…
They have been in a reality coma and I haven’t a clue how they remain in office…
Partisan is one thing, but for people to keep blindly re-electing these guys just because a comet hasn’t hit Puget Sound yet is ….’special’
Murray, Cantwell, Dicks, and Baird are not only out of touch with their constituents they could care less about hearing from them. It really isn’t about representing those who voted for them is it? Most are only asking for them to read the Bill? Novel thought. Won’t happen though, wonder what kind of kick backs they are getting from the Pres?
