Here is a great editorial from Ronald Regan’s former Secretary of the Navy
John Lehman (also a member of the National Defense Commission and served on
the Sept 11th Commission). It lays out the real story that the engine would
save tax payer dollars and in his own words, “the power of competition has
been shown again and again to drive innovation, lower costs and spur
contractor responsiveness.”
