Baird, you are a coward. I’ve been to one of your ‘town hall’ meetings (by all accounts, this one was typical), and you stocked it with your own softball pitchers, thereby giving yourself a forum to expound relentlessly on your myriad accomplishments, your immense importance and your encyclopedic knowledge of all things. You are truly a legend in your own mind.
I understand your fear: without scripted questions, you’ll reveal just how much of the ObamaCare party-line kool-aid you’ve consumed. However, we Washingtonians (the state, not the national commode) deserve to know what horrors you plan to visit upon us with the votes you have left before we replace you in 2010.
GROW A SET. FACE US NOW, WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A JOB (AND PERHAPS FIND IT IN YOUR HEART TO REPRESENT US FROM HERE ON OUT IN THE MANNER FOR WHICH WE HIRED YOU), OR FACE THE VOTERS IN 2010, AND EXPLAIN THEN WHY YOU REPEATEDLY SOLD US DOWN THE RIVER.
I sent a polite email to Mr. Baird and told him what I wanted and didn’t want in Healthcare reform. I also asked him to promise me that at least he would read all of the bill. I never received a reply of any kind. Apparently he was too busy snorkeling on the Barrier Reef. He needs to understand the frustration of the people he purports to represent and quit calling them names.
I challenge Brian Baird to be a real representative and not a kool aid drinking Nancy Pelosi puppet. I am really tire of the arrogance and facist egotism from the Democratic party and our worthless Senate and Congress. Once they became the majority they have taken our country into a continual spiral downward.
The left hate it when the silent respectful majority has had enough and are not saying ENOUGH, ENOUGH, ENOUGH.
It showed what a coward Brian Baird was when he held his town hall meeting on a Friday when the majority of Americans just happen to be at work.
I dare him to have an open town hall meeting or at least a true telephone conference, with a schedule prearranged time where people can call in and participate. This attitude of his calling us shows he picks and chooses who he wants to “attend” his meetings.
